A woman in Mumbai allegedly threw the five-year-old daughter of her neighbor from the 15th floor of a building after a heated argument.
The child died on the spot, police said. The incident took place at Vighnaharta building, Byculla in central Mumbai at around 12.30 pm on Monday.
The five-year-old’s mother had a fight with the accused following which she allegedly threw the child from the balcony they shared, police said.
The girl was taken to KEM Hospital where she was declared dead. A case has been registered but no arrest has been made in this connection so far.
According to the police, the victim’s mother, who is a traffic constable and lives on the 15th storey of the building, had a quarrel with another woman, her neighbour, on Monday morning.
Some time later the other woman allegedly threw the policewoman’s five-year-old daughter down from the building’s common balcony.
The girl was taken to KEM Hospital where she was declared dead. Police said a case was being registered and no arrest had been made yet.
